Chief Operating Officer
Tessa Rognier began working in the cannabis industry in the state of California in 2001. In 2015, she moved to Nevada to join Tahoe-Reno Botanicals, a licensed medical cannabis cultivation facility. Building the Sparks facility from the ground up, Tessa became an expert in large-scale commercial cultivation facility management. She was instrumental in developing the clone and crop cycling process, and she also created standard operating procedures for both properly curing and storing flower and for sanitization processes post-harvest.
In 2017, Tessa joined the Nevada Department of Agriculture to work in the marijuana pesticide and industrial hemp programs. She developed an expertise for plant disease and integrated pest management for all cannabis-related crops. With two years of experience working in the emerging industrial hemp industry authorized by the 2014 Farm Bill, Tessa has participated in two consecutive Industrial Hemp Regulatory Conference meetings hosted by the National Plant Board. Her years of direct industry experience have made her an expert in the national and state regulatory structures of the hemp industry and the challenges facing the industry as a whole.
